It is really easy to look at the world and notice only the things that bring a sense of disharmony in our lives. I like William Hazlitt’s thought, “Those who are at war with others are not at peace with themselves.”
The place we need to start our work is to work on finding peace within ourselves.
Today we are going to tap for finding that internal sense of peace.
Needing To Be At Peace With Ourselves
(audio 4m04s)
I recognize the fact…That the way I see myself…Impacts every interaction I have in the world… It’s easy to blame others…It’s easy to see fault in others…It’s easy to see how I’m doing it right and they’re doing it wrong…But I know…That when I see myself clearly… When I see myself charitably…When I see myself with love…When I see myself with acceptance…It changes the way I act in the world…And this doesn’t mean I let people run me over…And this doesn’t mean that I take responsibility for everyone else…It simply means…I see myself for who I am…And I see myself for what I am…That as I navigate the world…When I see myself with love…When I see myself with peace…Every other interaction is easier…Every other interaction is gentler…So, today, I extend peace towards myself…Today, I extend love towards myself…Today, I extend gentleness towards myself…Today, I extend ease towards myself…Today, I extend kindness towards myself…Today, I extend love towards myself…Today, I extend ease towards myself…Today, I extend charity towards myself…Today, I extend gentleness towards myself…Today, I extend calm towards myself…Today, I extend kindness towards myself…I am worthy to love myself…I am worthy to be gentle with myself…I am worthy to be kind to myself…I give myself permission to love myself…To be easy with myself…And to navigate the world gently.
Almost a mantra Gene – love it!
